2017 is almost here!

It’s practically tomorrow.

But before we get there I want to share some new designs I’ve worked on since my last design post.

Save the Dates

I’ve added some Save the Dates to my Etsy shop but my favorite has been this custom sport themed save the date.  It was so unique and fun to make!

Wedding Invitations

I still LOVE working on wedding invitations, and through word of mouth I’ve been able to work with more and more brides that all have different ideas and tastes.  Every design presents a new challenge to me – whether it’s learning a new skill, finding a specific font, creating a vector from scratch or finding a reasonably priced gold foil printer.

The design above allowed me to find a reliable gold foil printer and learn how to create envelope liners at home (which is a lot of work, but totally worth it!).

I love the whole process.  Hearing from a bride, learning what they like and trying to make their ideas come to life.  Guess that’s how I can come home from a long day at work and still stay up for hours working on a design.  It’s so fulfilling.

Wedding Programs

After completing some invitations I’ve had the opportunity to create more stationary for weddings like signs and programs.  I love the pastel watercolors of this one for my dear friends Gina and Darren.

The little details of her wedding were just gorgeous and I feel honored to have played a small part of it.  How gorgeous are these photos from Liz Osban?! (#obsessed)

I already showed Gina’s wedding invitation suite but I couldn’t help but share this photo from Liz.

And I love the theme of the programs for the Turner wedding.  Mackenzie came up with a beautiful theme for the invitations and these programs match that beautifully!

I was also able to film Mackenzie’s wedding and work alongside Carrie Ann, who took this gorgeous photo. above.

Baby Shower Invitations

I guess I’m at the age where everyone is having babies! My godson will be born any day minute now, and my future flower girl is about a month old.

I had a lot of fun making baby shower and gender reveal invitations and I look forward to making more in the future! I’ve added some of these designs to my Etsy shop.

This has been such an amazing year of design.  Learning new techniques, developing my skills, and making some beautiful designs along the way.  If you have a custom design you would like to see come to life, send me a message! I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for DayDreamin’Engineer.
